Walks Around Howgills & Dentdale
The Howgill Fells take their name from a small settlement in the Lune Valley where a number of homesteads, a woollen mill employing up to a hundred, and a church once thrived. Sadly, the Howgills of today consists of just one farm. The fells are home to hardy Rough Fell sheep, and small free-roaming ponies in piebald shades of brown and cream.
Each book contains ten walks chosen by a local expert, all walks are six miles or less and all stay below 1,500 feet. Each walk is fully described with its own easy-to-follow map and points of interest along the way.
